A Podcast Origin Story
It all began when we noticed we have set our world on fire. Distressed by the lack of hilarity in this state of affairs, we locked some of Britain’s most exciting comedic talent in the Black Leaf Films studio, reminded them we’re all hurtling toward the end of times without a bunker, and told them to make the imminent apocalypse a bit funnier, in a podcasty way. After tens of minutes they delivered their earth shattering response: Everything is Fine.
Since all the talent perished of starvation after A.I. stole their jobs, there is only this recording for you to judge if their profound final statement was one of fact or the deepest irony.
Thankfully the cutting edge of Artificial Insemination will allow us to regrow the talent and keep them alive just long enough to produce two shows a month, which feels both deeply appropriate and like exactly the kind of thing the show would have warned us about.

Joe Wells - Joe is a neurodivergent writer, comedian and podcaster who performs regularly at The Comedy Store, Glee, and Komedia. He has supported Frankie Boyle, Alexei Sayle and Stephen K Amos and written for shows including Have I Got News For You (BBC1) and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2)
Laura Evelyn – is an actor, writer, improviser, and voiceover artist. She has starred in Good Omens (Amazon Prime), Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (Netflix), Sex Education (Netflix) and she’s currently recording Sharon Horgans’ latest series Youth (HBO).
Archie Maddocks - Archie Maddocks is a stand-up comedian, playwright, and screenwriter. He co-wrote the film Gassed Up and adapted Alex Wheatle's Crongton Knights into the hit BBC series Crongton, which won a BAFTA in 2026. His plays have been performed at the Bush Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, and the Royal Court. His play A Place For We was nominated for an Olivier award.
Hannah Berry George (AKA HBG) is an award-winning writer and director, known for her playful, off-kilter comedy. With a background in journalism, stand up, sketch and improv, her work has premiered on NOWNESS, been screened by the BFI, and racked up tens of millions of views online. In 2025, she was shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Collective.
Dan Davies – is a documentary director and executive producer, comedy writer and playwright. He wrote sketches for BBC Radio 4 and BBC1 before the invention of the smart phone and his plays have been performed at The Arcola (Lifeboat), The Space Theatre (The Domestic Extremists), the National Theatre Studio (The Albatross) and been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 (Is Anything Broken? & Positive Affect.)

Holly Hall – is an actor, writer and comedian. She was named BBC’s New Comedy Award’s Digital Comedian for her short film “It’s What She Would have Wanted” in 2022. She’s starred in The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITVX) and has written and starred in a new comedy-horror short with Martin Trenaman, directed by Ben Kent.
Dempsey Bovell – is an accomplished actor who has starred in Cobra (ITV), Trigger Point (ITV), Bridgerton (Netflix), The Witcher (Netflix) and the feature film Wonka (Warner Bros.)
